The French Get 8 Weeks Off…And shouldn’t we all?
For those who don’t know me, the gal behind the scenes writing these weekly newsletters — I’m a California girl who recently picked up and moved to Basque Country in France in a town called Biarritz. It’s a stunning surf town on the South Western coast with turquoise warm water, towering mountains, moody weather and incomparable food.
I’m currently writing these weekly emails while I am watching my lady friends basque in the sun on the beach during their 8-weeks summer vacation that’s mandated by the French government. There’s a reason why the French have a longer life expectancy. They prioritize de-stressing, which is fantastic for balancing our hormones. They do it right!
