Julienne’s Modern Women’s Nutrition answers those burning questions we face as a woman about our health, and how to eat to feel better.

And especially, when starting or growing our family (at 30+!).

  • How does my diet impact my fertility and pregnancy?

  • What can I do to have better control over my health, and that of my baby’s?

  • What should I eat to feel better — whether you’re feeling exhausted, you’re battling fluctuating moods, you can’t seem to lose weight, to name a few?

  • How can I eat to feel better — if I’ve been diagnosed with a diet-related condition, such as PCOS, gestational diabetes, endometriosis, hyper thyroid, hypo thyroid, pre-diabetes, type 2 diabetes, anemia, etc.

  • What can I do to increase my odds of being fertile and becoming pregnant?

  • What are the best foods to eat during pregnancy, and how can I easily incorporate them into a hectic schedule?

  • Can I still savor the foods I love while ensuring they're nutritious for both me and my growing baby?

  • How do I make meals that are safe, delicious, and fulfilling without spending hours in the kitchen?

And we give you weekly recipes that are easy to implement into your everyday life to start your journey to feeling your best.

Who’s Cooking?

Modern Women’s Nutrition is written by me, Anja Lee Hall, a nutrition-focused professional chef of 20 years. I’m a recipe developer, menu designer, cookbook author and cooking instructor, while also having led a large catering in San Francisco, CA team for 10 years. I’ve been on the Food Network twice — was champion of Supermarket Stakeout with Alex Guarnaschelli in 2022, and competed on Alton Brown’s Cutthroat Kitchen in 2017!

I am passionate about women’s health, and I am on a mission to bring nutrition into the conversation for all of our doctor’s appointments, and especially when it comes to the perinatal journey.

I believe that understanding how to eat to feel our best, and how to apply it to our everyday grocery shopping and cooking is essential for the health of ourselves and our families.

I love to pair seasonal, beautiful ingredients to make simply delicious meals. I’m using my tricks and hacks from my time in many professional kitchens to bring you everyday recipes that I make myself so that you can do so, too. For your happiness and your health.

These recipes aim to use minimal dishes (less clean up — I have a teeny tiny kitchen), use only the most important ingredients for the best flavor, apply tricks to make sure it’s perfectly cooked, and require less time.

The modern woman is busy, often on a career path, overwhelmed, can’t keep up…
Yet, our metabolism is slowing down, we’re on a mission to create a family, and we’re given all of the challenges of fertility, hormones and life.

I’m applying all of my science-backed research from verified sources to making it easier for you to know what you can eat, instead of just what you should cut out.

Oh, and I am on a mission to help you enjoy it all, if you don’t already! (And your family, too!)

That’s enough about me…who are you? I’d love to meet you — message me and tell me your name, where you’re from, and perhaps what modern women’s nutrition questions you have. I’m all ears and here to help the best I can!

xoxo, Anja Lee Hall
