Now that we’re well into the New Year, it feels like a great time to check in—how are those New Year’s resolutions holding up? I’d love to hear more about how you’re doing with your goals—this is a safe space. 😉

If you’ve set a resolution (health-related or otherwise) and have been finding it a challenge, you might feel comforted to know that you’re very much not alone. Studies show that by mid-February, 80% of resolutions are already broken (source). New Year’s resolution setting comes at a time when we’re encouraged to shoot for the stars, and set lofty (and sometimes unrealistic) goals, with little consideration for our future selves.

That’s right – these intense January far-reach goals can actually be harmful for your long-term health. Slow and steady wins the race.

If the resolutions aren’t going well so far, and you’re feeling low and need to hear this: You haven’t failed. Stick with me if you’d like to hear a slightly different approach to making progress and reaching your goals.
